Consider modern modes of communication. Nowadays we use so many communication tools-telephones, mobiles phones, satellites, computers and internet video-streaming, to name but a few. Without electronics to make these communications systems possible, our lives would immeasurably be poorer. Over the coming years, the number of systems that depend on electronics to communicate will greatly increase. This programme is designed to produce professional engineers who are capable of analyzing, specifying, designing, commissioning and maintaining complex electronic comm. systems to enable a continuation of the improvements in standard of living enjoyed by society through the ingenuity of engineers.
